Today Pastor Rob shared from Romans 12:3-13 and encouraged us to live a “Bold, Gospel-Centered life together.” Read the passage again as you begin this time of family devotion and discuss the following questions:

1)What do people who think too much of themselves act like? Do you want these types of people on your team if you are playing sports? Do you want to work with this type of person one day?

2) Does God give each believer the same spiritual gifts?

3) What would church be like if everyone thought he or she had to preach before they could go home?

4) What would church be like if no one thought they had the gift of service?

5) What would church meetings be like if no one had the gift of leadership?

6) True or False-Paul encourages believers to live the Christian life privately and not to share their life with other believers.

7) True or False-Living out the gospel with others is not easy but truly glorifies God when we work together to proclaim His kingdom until He comes again. 

 

Bean and Bailey Will Be Here February 19th!

Sunday, February 19th is firming up to be an amazing Sunday as we celebrate 30 years of ministry!  In addition to a new video we're producing about the last 30 years of God's faithfulness at Lake Murray, Singer/Comedians Bean and Bailey will be here as well!  They'll give us a taste of their gifts in the morning worship service, but the bulk of the fun will come that evening at 6:30 PM with a full concert followed by a dessert fellowship.

Here's a small taste of how Bean and Bailey will have you enjoying God's great gift of laughter!  Enjoy!

In yesterday's message, I alluded to a great book called "7 Toxic Ideas Polluting Your Mind" when talking about avoiding conformity to the world and seek transformation by the Holy Spirit.

1) What chapters in Romans does the “therefore” refer to?

2) How is a New Testament sacrifice different than an Old Testament sacrifice?

3) True or False-Worship only happens when we are singing, praying, and listening to preaching in church.

4) What does it mean to be holy?

5) True or False-According to verse two-how you act has a lot to do with what you think about.

6) What should you be reading and thinking about in order to transform your thought life?

Close in prayer thanking God for all the mercies He has shown to us and asking Him to help you through the power of the Spirit to live a life that is pleasing to Him.
